Arbaaz Khan's 'Dabangg' starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead, emphatically walked away with the top honors at the Uninor Mirchi Music Awards 2010 cosponsored by Karbonn Mobiles. The grand celebration of music that was held recently also saw Malaika 'Munni' Arora Khan win over Katrina 'Sheila' Kaif as "Munni Badnaam Hui" by Mamta Sharma and Aishwarya won the Best Song as well as Best Item Number and also a couple more, beating the Sunidhi Chauhan-sung "Sheila Ki Jawani" featuring Kat's hot-body and belly dancing.

On the other hand, actor Shah Rukh Khan and actress Kajol were awarded the glorious Filmfare best actor and actress awards at the 56th Filmfare awards beating Salman Khan and Vidya Balan to it, who had been bagging all the awards so far. The starry evening saw industry heavyweights come together to make the evening one of the most cherished and wonderful extravaganzas of the year. Low budget film 'Udaan' made the most of the event by winning as many as eight awards, while Salman Khan starrer 'Dabangg' was voted the Best Film of the year. Critics chose veteran actor Rishi Kapoor for the Best Actor Critics category for the film 'Do Dooni Chaar' while 'Ishqiya' star Vidya Balan bagged the Best Actress award in the same category.
