This weekend has some new additions to the chart with an excellent track from Ko replacing Yaathe Yaathe from Aadukalam. In fact couple of other songs from the same album has got its position with Sada Sada from Kaavalan getting above No.5 Position. Engeyum Kadhal has slightly got down the charts as the airing has been reduced in FM Stations.
1. Ennamo Yedho (Ko): This song was ringing into our senses from the time its teasers were aired on all satellite channels and theatres. Sony BMG found a smart way to publicize the track by airing it in all FM Stations much prior to audio launch. Aalaap Raju mesmerized us with the title song Engeyum Kadhal from Harris Jayarajs recent album with the same title. Prashanthini has hummed for very portions while Sricharan and Emcee Jesz have excelled with their rap lines. Karkys lyrical lines are the biggest plus.
2. Oththa Sollala (Aadukalam): Wondering how could this song overshadow the No.1 song of many weeks? Its all because of visuals that were conceptualized by cinematographer, filmmaker and choreographer. One could sense the fever that was flooding in theatres with this song. Vel Murugans voice stands out as one of the major highlights of this track.
3. Yaathe Yaathe (Aadukalam): Lot of expectations much prior to the release as much visuals werent aired during promotional campaigns. Precisely, it was anticipated that there would be some fantastic dance steps from Dhanush, which literally turned out to be a mere disappointment. Dhanush hardly shakes his leg for this number. But as on song, G.V. Prakashs composition is fantastic.
4. Yaradhu (Kaavalan): After a very long time, we get to hear a mellifluous romantic number in Vijays movie. This is a situational s! ong that occurs at a crucial point of time in the film. There are no special dances by Vijay, but his goofy acts made it an appealing number. Thanks to Karthik for his splendiferous vocalism. The young singer always shines out with brilliant flashes when it comes down to romantic songs.
5. Ven Paniyae (Ko): Call it a slow poison. The song has such magnetizing features that let us breathe through the melody of love. Harris Jayaraj has shown keen interest over the vocalisms and chorus parts. The beats are mild and so are the instrumentals. The playback singers Sriram Parthasarathy and Bombay Jayashree prove to be the best options and none could have done a better job than this combination.
6. Neela Vaanam (Manmadhan Ambu): The lyrical lines and rendition by Kamal Haasan received good reception. But the visuals of reverse narration are inspired from famous English album Cold Play.
7. Engeyum Kadhal (Engeyum Kadhal): Aalaap Raju swings up with his mesmerizing voice. Hes sure to make it bigger in music industry as he possesses such an unique quality. The song is a breezy number to be heard while drenching your feet across shores.
8. Sada Sada (Kaavalan): Again, its Vijay-Karthik combination from the same album of Kaavalan. Unlike the other number, this is a sweet-fast paced romantic solo. The dance sequences and the same goofy mannerisms of Vijay have conquered the interests of all centres. The song reminiscences of yesteryear melodies as it carries such factors.
9. Enge En Idhayam (Kanden): First-timer Vijay Ebenezer makes an impressive start as almost all the song in this album are worthy of appreciations. Enge En Idhayam is the cherry-pick of this album as the music is so jazzy with good melody. Dr. Burns rap lines are additional attractions while Krish and Prashanthini make the melodic feel penned by lyricist Thamarai so intensely.
10. Evandi Unna Pethan (Vaanam): The song re! ached th e heights at overnight and suddenly got down the charts due to so many releases. However, it is sure to reach its places by the time of release as Silambarasans dance and colorful visuals by Nirav Shah should have best results.
