Gone are those days, when cops were literally acclaimed as God Send Angels to save the mankind and were seen in artificial lights. Alas! The filmy cops even jumped upon the untouched grounds by performing maniacal gimmicks by easily trapping the deadliest mafia done onOne-Man Army mission. To make a clear-cut statement, the rituals still persist in Tamil film industry as the unrealistic shades, which are so clamorous with yesteryear heroes, whore unwilling to step out of them.
Naturally, our moviemakers were blindfolded to be inspired from Hollywood cops. They started exhibiting their mannerisms of chewing toffees while on the desperate need of triggering bullets upon villains. Romance unlimited was limitlessly grabbed from James Bond.
Thanks to Ram Gopal Varma, he redefined the era with his outstanding delineation of Nana Patekkar in Ab Tak Chappan. You never spot him relentlessly in cop uniforms. Later, it was Gautham Menon for his realistic approach in Kaakha Kaakha and Vettaiyadu Vilaiyaadu.
And now, we have couple of filmmakers to make a brief acclamation upon Sasikumar and Mysskin. Grokking significance of this brand can be illustrated with Easan and yet to release Yuddham Sei.
Samuthirakkani was indeed the best onscreen cop that can be a reminiscence in ages to come.
He was so casual, cool and composed and on pars expressed his grieve, strain, annoyance in a typical police way. He never pulls the trigger till the climax, until the desperate situation arises.
Might be, its too early to embellish praises on Mysskins work of portraying his protagonist Cheran as a CBCID officer in such a simple way. The celebrities and inner circles, who have already watched the movie have conferred praises on My! sskins s uccessful experiment of defining the role with reality.
Thanks to these filmmakers for drawing new lines of such characters. Its so inspiring and compelling for the young bandwagon of moviemakers.
